7 Must-Try New Restaurants in Los Cabos for 2025

Los Cabos has truly come into its own as a food lover's paradise, and 2025 has brought us some genuinely exciting new places to eat. From stunning ocean views that make your meal even better to creative dishes that are as beautiful as they are delicious, great food is popping up all over the area. We're excited to share what’s new this year in the Los Cabos dining world.

1. Cayao

Haven't tried Nikkei cuisine yet? Cayao at the Four Seasons Resort in Cabo del Sol is your perfect introduction to this Japanese-Peruvian fusion that food lovers worldwide are raving about. This spot is part of chef Richard Sandoval's collection of restaurants and offers open-air dining with beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez.

The menu features "suviche" (a clever mix of sushi and ceviche), meats cooked on a robata grill, various maki rolls, and tiraditos. Try their miso-marinated cod, the grilled octopus with Peruvian chili, or the wagyu beef with chimichurri sauce. They've got great options for vegetarians too, plus a thoughtfully selected list of sake and pisco cocktails that showcase both Japanese and Peruvian influences. The restaurant itself feels modern and warm without trying too hard—exactly the kind of place where you can relax and enjoy a fantastic meal.

2. Sen Lin

You'll find Sen Lin at the Grand Velas Los Cabos, where they're serving up delicious Asian fusion food that blends Japanese, Thai, and Chinese cooking with fresh ingredients from Baja. Their menu includes plenty of sushi, dim sum, wok-fried dishes, and unique cocktails you won't find elsewhere.

The chefs at Sen Lin use traditional Asian cooking methods but add their own twist with local flavors. The restaurant's look is clean and simple, making it work just as well for a regular dinner as for a special celebration. What we really love is how they showcase local seafood, veggies, and herbs in ways that honor different Asian cooking styles while creating something new and exciting.

3. Delphine Day Club

There's something magical about eating with your toes nearly in the sand, and Delphine Day Club in East Cape delivers exactly that experience. Michelin-starred Chef Ludo Lefebvre brings his love for Niçoise cooking to Baja, creating dishes that honor French traditions while adding fresh, modern touches.

The outdoor dining area gives you wide-open views of the Sea of Cortez, with comfortable, low seating that fits perfectly with the natural beauty all around you. The menu focuses on fresh seafood, in-season veggies, and flavorful herbs—like what you'd find in markets in the South of France. What you'll eat depends on what's fresh that day, but expect delicious grilled fish, colorful tomato salads, and bread baked right on site.

You'll find Delphine at the Four Seasons Resort at Costa Palmas. They're open Thursday to Sunday, from noon to 8:30 PM. We strongly suggest making a reservation, especially for weekend afternoons when the beachfront tables fill up fast.

4. Palmerio

Think of the sunny coasts of southern France and Italy, and you'll get a feel for what Palmerio brings to Los Cabos. This Mediterranean-inspired restaurant celebrates the simple perfection of fresh seafood and quality produce in dishes that feel both familiar and exciting.

Start your meal with raw starters like local oysters or scallop tartare, then move on to handmade pastas and meats cooked in their wood-fired oven. Palmerio works directly with local fishermen and nearby farms to get the freshest ingredients possible with the seasons.

We love the European-style open kitchen and the beautiful ceramic plates and bowls they serve on—it all creates a clean, understated elegance that feels special without being stuffy. Located in the Four Seasons at Cabo del Sol, they're open for both lunch and dinner. The feel of the place changes throughout the day—from bright, easy-going afternoon meals to more intimate evening dining with soft lighting and beautiful ocean views.

5. Tazuna

Sushi with a sunset view might be one of life's perfect combinations, and Tazuna has mastered this pairing. Located at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, this spot offers open-air dining with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean and the resort grounds.

Their menu includes fresh sashimi, nigiri, creative maki rolls, tempura, and hot dishes made teppanyaki-style right in front of you. They're also thoughtful about different dietary needs, with plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options available.

What makes this place special is the service—attentive but relaxed—and a setting that works just as well for a casual dinner as it does for celebrating something special. It's become especially popular around sunset, when you can enjoy excellent food while watching one of the best shows in Los Cabos.

6. Zest

As the 13th restaurant recently opened by the Four Seasons Resort at Costa Palmas, Zest might be the most intimate dining experience you can find in Los Cabos right now. What makes it unique? There's just one table that seats up to twelve guests—that's the entire restaurant.

This small setting allows for a slower, more personal experience, often including direct conversations with the chef. Internationally recognized Executive Chef Fabio Quarta has created a nine-course seasonal tasting menu that changes based on what's freshly picked from the resort's organic garden and what's available locally. Each dish is beautifully presented, often featuring ingredients like local seafood, garden herbs, and Baja citrus.

Unlike many restaurants, Zest is all about taking you on a food journey, with thoughtful explanations of the ingredients and inspirations behind each course. Because there's such limited seating and high demand, you'll definitely need to book well ahead of time.

7. NAO

While not technically brand new, NAO has found a new home in the heart of San José del Cabo after building a loyal following at its previous spot in El Merkado. Their Japanese-Peruvian fusion menu is still the star, with fan favorites like tiraditos, nigiri with bold sauces, and signature maki rolls that combine flavors from both Nikkei tradition and Baja ingredients.

The new space feels more intimate and design-focused, with simple, clean décor and bar seating that lets you watch the chefs work their magic up close. Compared to the casual food hall vibe of its old location, this new setting feels more refined—perfect for date nights or quiet dinners with friends. Even with the move, NAO has kept its original energy—creative, focused on bold flavors, and always surprising—which has helped it keep its local fans while attracting new ones to its upgraded digs.
